Lancashire based Progress Debt Recovery has just launched a new service aimed at solicitors following a 6 month successful trial period.
Progress has now officially launched one of the UK’s lowest cost process serving services following a successful trial amongst a select number of Lancashire based solicitors and this service is now being rolled out nationally.
The service is being targeted at solicitors so they can concentrate on their part of the legal proceedings leaving the delivery of legal documents to a specialist firm that can deliver the papers at a lower cost than a solicitor may be able to deliver themselves saving all involved valuable time and money.
Delivering a Statutory Demand by hand to the main office of a business or the home of an individual will have much greater impact and this can be done anywhere in the UK now by Progress.
Acting as the process server, Progress will provide the solicitor with a sworn statement, which can subsequently be used in court, to confirm that the demand was served in accordance with the Insolvency Act 1986.
There are many other circumstances when it can be more effective to have documents formally served by hand such as court orders, statutory demands, bankruptcy or winding up petitions, family proceedings, injunctions, summons or claims forms, divorce petitions and writs.
Craig Adams, Progress Debt Recovery said "we are always looking for ways to make debt recovery easier for all those involved and to lowering the cost at every stage, we identified process serving as an area where the cost seems to be rather high and the time spent by some solicitors delivering legal documents unnecessary, we are sure this service will be a hit with them"
